Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site
History buffs will enjoy this fascinating historic site in Ansley-Wilcox House, which tells the bizarre and tragic story of how Vice-President Teddy Roosevelt was hastily sworn-in after President McKinley was shot by a deranged Polish anarchist called Leon Czolgosz. McKinley had been re-elected for a second term only two months before.
Albright-Knox Art Gallery
The jewel in Delaware Park's crown is the not-to-be-missed Albright-Knox Art Gallery, a sizeable museum with paintings by some of the best French impressionists, as well as works by American artists such as Pollock, O'Keefe, Lichtenstein, Ernst and Warhol.
Darwin Martin House Complex
Frank Lloyd Wright is known as one of the great American architects and luckily for Buffalo, six of his 'Prairie School' buildings still exist in the city. Though most are privately occupied, perhaps the finest of these buildings, the 1904 Darwin Martin House, is being restored and can be viewed by appointment.
